丰田汽车公司正准备召回27万辆刹车系统存在问题的新款普锐斯油电混合动力车,同时

Toyota Motor Corporation is preparing to recall 270,000 new Prius plug-in hybrid vehicles with faulty braking systems, while simultaneously investigating potential issues in two other hybrid models.

The Prius is Toyota's flagship eco-friendly vehicle, but the' brake door 'incident directly affected the vehicle's computer control system, potentially causing more damage to Toyota's market prospects than the' pedal door' scandal. However, some analysts have pointed out that Toyota has yet to fully recognize the severity of the issue.

Recall planned

The Nikkei reported on the 5th that Toyota will soon notify Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) and the U.S. Department of Transportation, followed by a recall of 270,000 new Prius vehicles in both Japan and the United States.

Toyota had previously disclosed that the anti-lock braking system (ABS) in these Prius models, designed for emergency braking and slip prevention, contained flaws. This caused a one-second delay during the switching between electronic and hydraulic braking systems, resulting in brief brake failures. "Toyota is a global corporation, yet their response to this crisis falls short of international standards," said Yasuhiro Matsumoto, an analyst at Japan's Shinsei Securities. "The company's exposure to such critical issues while senior executives remain conspicuously absent creates an impression of deliberate concealment and low-profile management."
