Director Jia Zhonghua, the workshop director of the radiator production line, left a deep impression as a down-to-earth leader with thick eyebrows, large eyes, average height, and a slightly plump build. His name alone speaks volumes about his unwavering loyalty to both the nation and the company. Colleagues affectionately call him "Ah Zhong." Having joined the company in February 1997, he has dedicated 19 years to its service, working diligently and steadfastly. Now a veteran of the organization, he has served as workshop director for ten consecutive years since taking office.Since the Spring Festival this year, the radiator workshop has maintained a high-intensity production schedule with full operational capacity.Since the merger of the copper and aluminum dispersion workshops in 2014, the radiator production line has expanded from a single facility to two separate workshops. The workforce has grown from 8 to 13 teams. The aluminum dispersion workshop now includes assembly, belt rolling, baking welding, welding, preparation, painting, logistics, and mechanical repair teams, while the copper dispersion workshop comprises assembly, final assembly, sheet metal processing, preparation, and painting teams. With increased team numbers and personnel, the workload has significantly expanded, requiring coordinated supervision across both floors.Finding the workshop director in the office? One word: difficult!Either handling production issues on the front line or assisting at the workstation. It was not until the third attempt that Director Jia Zhonghua was located at the work site.He was seen wearing a pair of white safety gloves on both hands and busy handling parts with both hands. After the Spring Festival, we were indeed very busy. Apart from one day off due to power outages, all staff worked overtime to meet production targets. The employees faced significant challenges. In our radiator workshop, there were approximately 136 personnel. To ensure the timely delivery of products with guaranteed quality and quantity, the employees worked extended hours on average every day.Director Jia continued, "Since February this year, our radiator production capacity has increased from 700 units per day to 900 units. The hardest-working group are the argon arc welders..." His words conveyed both a strong commitment to meeting customer delivery deadlines and genuine concern for frontline workers 'well-being. Through on-site conversations with Director Jia and observations of the workers' efficient yet disciplined production process, I gained a profound appreciation for the dedication of these frontline laborers. In this context, the radiator workshop has achieved a 100% employee attendance rate and zero work-related accidents—a highly commendable outcome."Perform one's duties according to one's position" is a motto often repeated by Director Jia.As a workshop director, Director Jia leads by example, constantly supervising on the production front line, conducting 7S inspections, attendance rate checks, and work condition evaluations. Wherever issues arise, Director Jia is present, which has become a routine practice in his work.According to office personnel familiar with him, Director Jia spends no more than two hours in the office per day.Director Jia commutes to and from work alongside the majority of workshop employees, and his departure time aligns with the end of overtime shifts performed by the staff.Director Jia is also a father of two children, with the youngest being only 4 years old. However, due to his demanding work schedule, the time he spends with his family has significantly decreased. To ensure the smooth operation of workshop activities, Director Jia emphasized a people-oriented management philosophy.Humanized management is implemented in workshop operations, with rotational leave arranged for employees who genuinely require rest. Work assignments are delegated with amiable and systematic approaches to foster a positive work environment among departmental staff.Regarding the oil cooler assembly (reference: 4RT.19.460400), post-brazing inspection revealed that the main plates lacked protective coatings, causing the inner layers to darken. After a day-long investigation, the root cause was identified as new employees failing to adhere to standard operating procedures. Fortunately, the issue was detected internally to prevent greater losses. Director Jia refrained from reprimanding frontline staff and instead conducted on-site training through morning meetings and briefings, instructing shift supervisors to take this as a lesson. He emphasized the need for all teams to reinforce quality awareness during morning meetings and mandated strict compliance with process documentation parameters to prevent recurrence of similar errors like Du**.Regarding product quality, in the event of quality anomalies, full cooperation is provided with the Quality Department for analysis and validation. Although opinions on product issues may sometimes differ, this collaboration aims to facilitate more effective problem resolution. This is Director Jia from the radiator workshop. Under his leadership, the team is making significant strides toward a brighter future.System Office Zheng Zhenxia
